Paintings and Drawings
Drawing and painting are some of my favorite hobbies. Lately I have been building and stretching my own canvases so I can make larger custom pieces (5ft X 5ft being the largest thus far); I love to see the how just some wood and cloth can be transformed into a piece of art that in turn, transforms the spaces where it is displayed.
When I draw, I like to combine old school pencil and paper with Photoshop; I draw out the subject first, scan it, and then use Photoshop to add the colors. Most of my drawings of late have been for my Monty Mole series of children's books, which takes the title character all over the world....and beyond.

Videography
What started out as just making goofy videos shorts on Instagram turned into another hobby. So much about the randomness and quirks of everyday living can be captured on film....and especially if you have a pet, you have an endless source of material. It's amazing what we can create just with our phones and a little creativity!

Can't Take The Heat

No walk today
Pets can be mischievous if you aren't watching them...
The summer of 2023 was one for the record books, with only a few places to go to escape the heat...
If you have pets, you know that sometimes they will have their way...
eBooks
All of the ebooks I have published on Amazon pertain to travel; there is a children's book series I started based on a book I wrote in junior high school about a curious little mole that loves to vacation. I then created a couple of travel guides based on my real-life experiences and adventures, and a couple of cookbooks.

Travel
I love travel; thus far I am up to 21 countries, covering North America, South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. It could be more, but some countries and cities I can't help returning to over and over again...for example, I've been to Paris NINE TIMES!
I really enjoy large, bustling cities; my favorites thus far:
1.Paris (art, culture, great example of 19th century urban planning, getting to use my conversational French skills 😁)
2. Mexico City (history, culture, food, great people.....did I mention food?)
3. Istanbul (exotic (since we Iearned very little about Turkish/Ottoman culture in school), history, food, architecture)

Tokyo (the bright lights were sensory overload 😄)

Rio de Janeiro

Amsterdam

Los Angeles

Lake Chapala, Mexico
